Droves of people came through to celebrate the McKinley Studios Open House. Tito’s the Original Handmade Vodka honored the celebration by creating a signature drink, “The Originals,” in honor of Larry McKinley, NOLA’s Original Influencer. Local bands wailed on our newly built StagePorch and it turned into a street party right out of a classic New Orleans playbook and, yes, it went viral. Jazz Fest 2024 — Let's go!

McKinley Studios opened last year as a welcoming space for production and innovation. The studio’s acoustic architecture, designed by our GRAMMY-nominated Chief Engineer Ben Lorio, along with “Big Boy,” the Trident Series 80b mixing console, provides sound proofing, state-of-the-art technology, and sonic character that has turned this iconic radio station studio into a boutique recording powerhouse. From music recordings and podcasts to movie ADR, radio commercials, and more, the McKinley Studios is firmly establishing itself as the hub for creative collaboration and inspiration. Written and directed by the incomparable Tommye Myrick. My imaginative vocabulary struggles to find descriptive words to express the beauty, the camaraderie, and talent that sang, danced, and acted its way through the halls each night. Of course, we had the popcorn waiting.
